Your installation appointment is set! To make sure your visit goes as smoothly as possible, here is a quick checklist of things to do before your technician arrives.
Your Pre-Installation Checklist:
- Confirm an Adult is Home: A person 18 years or older must be present for the entire duration of the appointment (usually 1-2 hours).
- Clear the Area: Please clear the space where the modem and any other equipment will be installed. The technician will need easy access to the wall outlet (for the internet cable) and a power outlet.
- Ensure Access: Make sure the technician can access the main utility box for the building or home (this is often on an outside wall or in a basement).
- Secure Your Pets: For the safety of your pets and our technician, please keep any pets in a separate, secure room during the installation.
- Think About WiFi: Know where you want the modem placed. For the best WiFi signal, choose a central, open location in your home (not in a cabinet or on the floor).
What to Expect on Installation Day
- Our technician will call or text you when they are on their way.
- They will install the equipment and test the line to ensure you get the best signal.
- They will make sure your main device (like your laptop or phone) is connected to the new WiFi network before they leave.
