Your Self-Install Kit has arrived! You can set up your new internet service in just a few simple steps without needing a technician.
What's in the Box:
- (1) Modem/Router
- (1) Power Cord
- (1) Coax Cable (the round one)
- (1) Ethernet Cable (optional)
Step-by-Step Installation
- Find the Wall Outlet: Locate the active coax (cable) outlet in your wall. This is the same type of round connection used for cable TV.
- Connect the Coax Cable: Screw one end of the coax cable into the wall outlet until it's "finger-tight." Screw the other end into the back of your new modem.
- Connect the Power: Plug the power cord into the back of the modem, and plug the other end into a nearby electrical outlet.
- Wait for the Lights: The modem will now turn on and boot up. This is the most important step. It can take 5 to 10 minutes as it connects to our network and downloads updates.
- Watch the "Online" Light: The lights on the front will blink. Wait until the "Online" or "@" light turns solid (not blinking). This means your modem is successfully connected to the internet.
How to Connect to Your New WiFi
Once the "Online" light is solid:
- Find the sticker on the back or bottom of your new modem.
- You will see the Default WiFi Name (SSID) and Password.
- On your phone or computer, go to your WiFi settings, find that network name, and connect using the password from the sticker.
You are now online!
Troubleshooting: If the "Online" light is still blinking after 15 minutes, try this:
- Make sure the coax cable is screwed in tightly at both ends.
- Try a different coax wall outlet if you have one.
- Unplug the power, wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in.
If it's still not working, please call us at [Your Support Number] and we can activate it from our side.
